I created a My Space account when the system was first talking about it. I don't like it, not user friendly, looks like a dating want ads or worse to me.

No the Virginia Beach Public Libraries should not use My Space to connect with Teens. The little experince I have with it from checking out my sons site and some of his friends sites, they don't want to talk to us just each other.

Thing 12-VPBL and IM

The times I have been responsible for IM there were no questions or it said I was Offline! I am not going to IM a staff member because then we would just be padding statistics!

Thing 11 IM and Libraries

I can see where it could be very beneficial providing you have an IM client that actually works and enough available staff to man it.
